Our themed room inspired by the world of mountain farmers
The economy of the past was exclusively subsistence and linked to peasant work (agriculture and livestock). The peasant work was very hard and the fields were sometimes very steep, inaccessible slopes. From the cattle to the pastures, milk, butter, cheese and meat were obtained. The summer forage was collected and transported downstream for the winter by traditional sleds.
